BIS Online Lecture Series "Let's Talk about Standards: Electronics and IT" on 04 March 2024 during 1600-1730 hrs

Greetings from BIS!!

As you are aware, BIS is starting an interactive online lecture series titled 'Let's Talk about Standards' to take the initiative of Education Outreach forward with all the our eminent MoU partner Institutes.  The objective of the lecture series is to share information with faculties and students on the National Standardization process, department-wise important standards developed and under development, R&D projects on offer and seeking the interest of faculties for participation in standardization.

The second interactive online lecture series is scheduled on Monday, 04 March 2024 during 1600h to 1730 hrs in the Electronics and IT Sector. The details of the programme along with the link for joining the webinar is provided below. 

This programme will include discussions on standardization at national and international level in the following subject areas:

(a)  Electronics including EMC, Optical fibres, PCBs, Video Surveillance Systems, etc.

(b)  Emerging technology areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Wearable technologies, IoT, Blockchain, etc

(c)  Information Security & Data Privacy

(d)  Quality control and quality assurance of electronic products  

Programme details:

Session 1:

• Overview of standardization process including the recent process reforms
• Scope and Programme of Work of the Electronics and IT standardization
• How to participate in national and international standardization work ? 

Session 2:

• Important standards developed by the department
• New subjects identified for standardization
• Overview of R&D projects on offer
• Opportunities for participation in international standardization
